Description
This is a good-sized Cyprinid fish that reaches up to about 8 inches (20 cm) in length. It has a silvery or golden-yellow body with reflective scales that give it a tinfoil effect. The dorsal fin has a black marking or blotch along the tip. The pelvic, anal, and caudal fins are red, but not the dorsal fin.
